Flexible Fabrication Solutions from Hill Engineering

Flexible Fabrication Solutions from Hill Engineering

Hill Engineering has been a leader in engineering and building flexible fabrication equipment for over 70 years. Hill Engineering specializes in providing unique alternatives to solve production problems, such as stamping dies, progressive dies, in-line punching dies, and cutoff die systems for roll forming, hydraulic die/press systems hydraulic tube cutoffs, rotary punching machines, or special machines (turnkey systems) to punch, swage, form, and notch roll formed parts or tubing. As the innovator in rotary and hydraulic punching technology in the roll forming industry, Hill Engineering is a full-service provider of tool and die making and special machine building, which is made up of sales engineers, design engineers, tool and die makers, and service technicians.

Featured Product

Hill Engineering In-Line Automotive Flying Saws

Hill Engineering can provide key components to your flexible fabrication solution. Mechanical presses are versatile, robust option for flexible fabrication applications and include notch presses which can pierce, notch, emboss, and add other engineered features to the product either before or after the roll former. Cutoff presses can cut formed sections to required lengths in a flying die operation so the roll forming machine never stops operating. Formtek offers four-post presses that provide the versatility and tonnage needed for flying dies and stationary applications. Other types of presses include pneumatic, hydraulic, and special presses which fill the need when mechanical press is not the right for your specific application.

Applications: furnace wrappers, filter frames, refrigerator cabinets, metal furniture, steel shelving, residential and commercial door and frames, metal building products, office furniture, lighting fixtures

Integrated Systems From Formtek

As a part of the Formtek family of metal forming and fabricating solutions, Hill Engineering systems can be seamlessly integrated with B&K, Dahlstrom, Lockformer Custom Machinery, Tishken, Winpro, and Yoder solutions to deliver optimal results for your operations.

Roll Forming & Flexible Fabrication Systems

Formtek can integrate multiple fabricating processes utilizing systems and machinery from B&K, Dahlstrom, Hill Engineering, Lockformer Custom Machinery, Tishken, Winpro, and Yoder to streamline and reduce the labor in your manufacturing operations. Whether it is flexible fabricating or roll formed products, Formtek can engineer and build a complete manufacturing system, from coil or sheet handling through finished product, for your application.

Consolidate Notching and Fastening Operations

The systems can be complex, involving multiple notching, bending and/or roll forming machines with welding, such as the production of office furniture wall partitions. Such systems may eliminate a dozen or more manual operations. Digital controls and batch production capabilities can allow the process to vary position and quantities of engineered features without setup time.

Eliminate Multiple Press Brake Operations

These integrated roll forming and flexible fabrication systems from Formtek can be as simple as manufacturing roof panels or shelves by hand feeding metal sheets into the roll former.

Engineered To Order

Each Formtek System is designed and manufactured to optimize the processing of your products.
