Hill Engineering HX Series Custom Hydraulic Presses

Hill Engineering HX Series Custom Hydraulic Presses

Hydraulic Flying Die systems, designed and manufactured by Hill Engineering, provide exceptional accuracy and offer you greater flexibility for system design. We manufacture both “Unitized” self-contained die/press hydraulic units, as well as flying hydraulic presses. Our ability to design and build roll forming die systems using the latest high speed hydraulic technology and electronic controls allows us to provide additional ways to solve your production problems.

Hill Engineering In-line Flying Dimple-Free Tube Cutoff

Hill Engineering In-line Flying Dimple-Free Tube Cutoff

The Hill Engineering In-line Flying Dimple-Free Tube Cutoff is an affordable “duo-cut” cutoff with “closed loop” electronic measuring/accelerator with Line speeds up to 250 F.P.M. and is available in the following configurations in addition to our stationary (recut) “duo-cut” with programmable feeder:

  • Model I: .188 – .75 Diameter
  • Model II: .375 – 1.50 Diameter
  • Model III: .750 – 3.00 Diameter
Hill Engineering In-Line Heavy-Duty Flying Saws

Hill Engineering In-Line Heavy-Duty Flying Saws

Heavy Duty Flying Saws are ideal for cutting-to-length steel welded closed shapes and tubing in-line. Also perfect for office partitions, welded roll formed shape and tubes where quality of cut is more important than overall speeds of cut.

Hill Engineering Mechanical Presses

Hill Engineering Mechanical Presses

Hill Engineering can utilize various Mechanical Press types within the Formtek family of brands for pre-notch/pre-punch/pre-cut/embossing applications, as well as product cut-off applications. Four-post, two-post, open-throat, tilt type, or commercial presses from various manufacturers can be reviewed to solve our customer’s application.

Hill Engineering Pull-Through Rotary Punch System

Hill Engineering Pull-Through Rotary Punch System

Pull-Through Rotary Punch Systems from Hill Engineering suit a range of continuous pattern and high-speed applications such as building products, metal construction and filter media, among others. This more common style of rotary system is designed for punching or lancing a continuous pattern, especially dense patterns such as oil filters, corner bead or soffit. Features of these systems include:

  • Up to 500 FPM
  • 0.060″ Steel or 0.078″ Aluminum Maximum Thickness
  • Punching and Lancing Applications
  • Roll Forming or Recoiling

Like any Hill Engineering equipment and tooling solution, Pull-Through Rotary Punch Systems are available as stand-alone machinery or integrated with your existing line, used machine, or as part of a turn-key Formtek system.

Hill Engineering Servo-Driven Programmable Punching System for Studs and Joists

Hill Engineering Servo-Driven Programmable Punching System for Studs and Joists

  • Operates at 100-700 feet per minute to match your line speed
  • Program to punch on 2 ft to 4 ft (or greater) centers
  • Various punch-out shapes available
  • Different inserts may be used to punch out oval, rectangle, “keyhole”, or “cross” patterns
  • Material thickness: .015″ – .105″ in CRS or galvanized steel
  • Drywall (steel studs & track) and structural (steel joists) models available
Tishken Four-Post Mechanical Presses

Tishken Four-Post Mechanical Presses

Tishken Mechanical Presses are a versatile, robust option for roll forming and tube mill systems. Notch presses can pierce, notch, emboss or add other engineered features to the product, either before (pre-notch) or after (post-notch) the roll former, however the application may require. Cutoff presses can cut formed sections to required lengths in a flying die operation, so the roll forming machine never stops.

Tishken HMW Series Medium Duty Roll Forming Systems

Tishken HMW Series Medium Duty Roll Forming Systems

The Tishken HMW Medium Duty Roll Forming Systems cover the range of medium moldings. These machines have more depth range than the MLW series. Light gauge, wide stock may be easily formed without loss of shaft rigidity. Horizontal roll space is well proportioned for smooth and accurate flow of metal from one pass to another to produce an accurate form even on deep irregular shapes. Like all other models, they are built as a complete “ready to run” package, ruggedly constructed for long life and minimum maintenance. Refrigerator shelving supports, store fixture components are a couple common applications for the HMW Series roll forming machines.
