B&K Master Bundler

In order to maximize the 500 FPM production capability of the 2DWR, 2DWR-Plus and 2DWR 16 Supermill Systems, one may consider a B&K MB-25 Master Bundler for packaging the drywall stud and tracks coming out of the steel framing roll form machine.  Unlike the competition, the B&K MB-25 Master Bundler is a complete packaging system, no additional strappers or conveyors for you to supply.

Description

Once the stud or track exits the mill it is transferred onto the infeed slide, where it will travel down the slope to the base of the two (2) incline conveyors. The incline conveyors will be mounted on a floor track that will accommodate the positioning of said conveyors to accommodate various stud lengths. Both incline conveyors will be controlled by a single variable speed controller. Each conveyor will also have a floor mounted wire way cat-track to allow conveyor movement.

The stud will then be transferred onto the stack table where an operator will manually nest the studs for stacking. Once this operator has created a “mini-bundle” on the stack table, the opera- tor will pull the completed mini-bundle onto the takeaway conveyor, where it will be conveyed to the strapping process.

Because the mini-bundle is built on the stack table and not the takeaway conveyor, the operator will be able to immediately start to build the next mini-bundle even while the first mini-bundle is being conveyed to the strapping process.

The B&K Master Bundler takes control of the assembled mini bundles directly beyond the strap- per. Mini bundles are drawn through the strapper and stopped while straps are applied at programmed intervals. The strapped mini-bundle is then added to others and arranged into an orderly “Master Bundle” ready for banding. The master bundle is then transferred to the banding conveyor for manual banding. Guides are provided in the banding conveyor for the wood dunnage, steel banding and fork truck arms. The PLC controls are quoted to interface with the dry- wall line controls.

With the installation of the Master Bundler, only one (1) full-time operator is required to run the line. Material handlers are freed to change coils, band finished bundles, and remove banded bundles.
